At Pet Rescue Foundations, we strive to provide a safe haven for animals in need, offer them necessary medical care, and find loving homes through adoption. We believe in the humane treatment of animals and strive to create a community where every animal is valued and protected.
about us
Pet Rescue Foundations is a youth-led 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Our primary objective is to establish one of the first full-service veterinary hospitals throughout Africa, beginning in a country called Burundi. As founders, we selected Burundi because we grew up there and witnessed firsthand the dire lack of care for homeless animals. It is truly heartbreaking to witness pets starving and succumbing to infection and disease.
Our mission extends across Africa, where we will be vaccinating animals, providing them with basic healthcare, and reshaping the societal narrative surrounding pet ownership. Our organization transcends mere pet rescue; we aspire to instill a sense of compassion in an entire generation of African children by educating them about the responsibilities of being a veterinarian and the profound impact it can have on the community.
We aim to create a stronger job market for these children to pursue, thereby ensuring a lasting impact. Through education and opportunity, we envision a future where the welfare of animals is prioritized and where empowered individuals can make a tangible difference in their communities.
